Signode’s new glassware packaging for e-commerce results in 40% package volume reduction!
Leveraging the proven performance of Air Column Protection Solutions, Signode has introduced a new range of packaging of glassware products for e-commerce.

In a recent case, the market leader for laboratory glassware and microwavable kitchenware in India recently expanded into e-commerce. They found that their traditional practice of the existing retail packs of the products with CFB/ mono-cartons & EPS presented them with several challenges such as high freight costs and higher damage percentage.

Existing packaging issues
  • High Volume Packaging design results in increased freight cost
  • Product rattling inside Carton which results in transit damage
  • High Packaging Cost due to duplex board boxes
  • Takes a lot of space for storage
Signode visited customer for packaging opportunity and offered them a unique Air Column solution which offered the following benefits:
