Crown Holdings, Signode’s parent company, recognised the outstanding contributions of its individual transit packaging plants as part of its biennial chairman’s sustainability award program.
Social Sustainability Award
Signode’s Stopak facility in Bengaluru (manufacturing of dunnage air bags and inflation tools) was one of the three receivers of this prestigious Chairman’s Sustainability Award for developing multiple programs to assist local communities in economic and social need.
Economic Sustainability Award
Our Rudraram facility (manufacturing steel strap, equipment and tools) received the Runner Up award for achieving a year-to-year reduction of 256 tons of steel scrap, corresponding to approximate reduction of 500 tons in carbon footprint.
Environmental Sustainability Award
Our Silvassa plant (manufacturing plastic & paper packaging products) also received the Runner Up award for creating community-focused initiatives and minimizing its use of energy and "prime" or "virgin" materials in manufacturing.
We congratulate all of these facilities for raising the bar with their sustainability-focused ideas, initiatives and accomplishments.
