Packaging South Asia magazine spoke to Sachin Gupta, Marketing Director – Signode APAC, on the resurgence in packaging post covid and how Signode products & solutions can help the industry.

Mr. Sandeep Chakravorty, Head Automation, Signode India Limited spoke about the latest innovative solutions in packaging and material handling for the metal industry, at Steel Authority of India Limited’s Industry-Academia Conclave on ‘Digital Transformation in Steel Manufacturing’ on 10th & 11th December 2021 held at its IISCO Steel Plant. He threw light on Signode’s innovative solutions such as the twin-head strapping machines, single strapping machine for multiple straps on coils, solutions for bar & rod mills, wire-rod coil compacting cum strapping solutions & coil wrapping solutions, Automated Storage & Retrieval System for coils, etc.

The objective of the two-day event was to provide a platform for sharing new innovations, discussing challenges and opportunities, exploring research and business opportunities and benchmarking automation and information technologies of today and tomorrow for the steel industry with a vision to utilize the power of Industry 4.0 in improving throughput, safety, quality, and ease of working.

The presentation was appreciated and well received by the audience. Signode also had an exhibition stall in the conclave, where the customers interacted freely with our team of experts.
